Terms & Conditions

Last updated . Please read this alongside our Privacy Policy.

The Platform (https://www.themealnest.com) is owned and operated by Mealnest365 Hospitality LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, with its office in Visakhapatnam, India ("The Meal Nest," "we," "us," "our").

The short version

  • Changing a meal: skip, swap or pause a meal until its cut-off: breakfast 10 PM the night before, lunch 7 AM the same day, dinner 1 PM the same day. After that the kitchen has started.
  • Pausing: your plan ends later by the same number of delivery days. Nothing you have paid for is lost.
  • Renewing: we remind you before your plan ends, and you choose when to renew.
  • Cancelling: message us on WhatsApp. Meals not yet cooked go back to your Meal Nest wallet and can be used on any future plan. Refunds always go to the wallet, not to the card, UPI or bank account you paid with.
  • If we get it wrong: a late, wrong or missing meal that you report to us within 2 hours of the end of your delivery window is credited to your wallet, whoever caused it. If you do not receive the food you ordered, that meal is credited to your wallet.

Accounts and Payments

  • Orders, including individual day pauses, can be placed, modified or cancelled up to each meal's cut-off: breakfast 10 PM the night before, lunch 7 AM and dinner 1 PM the same day. Requests made after a meal's cut-off cannot be processed for that meal.
  • To check that we deliver to you, use the PIN checker on our homepage, or message us on WhatsApp at +91 89775 03332.
  • Delivery charges depend on your area. Enter your PIN code to see yours.
  • The Meal Nest may need to change or cancel a meal (for example, if an ingredient is unavailable). We will tell you in advance wherever possible, and any meal we cannot make is credited to your wallet.
  • We may stop serving a customer who abuses our staff or riders, or who misuses the Platform. If we do, meals not yet cooked are credited to the customer's wallet.
  • GST is not currently applicable to our meal subscription services. Should this change under future law or our business operations, it will be clearly reflected in your order total at checkout, and this section will be updated accordingly.

Meal Delivery

  • Delivery is core to our service, and we take full responsibility for preparing and dispatching every order on time. Last-mile delivery to your doorstep is carried out by independent delivery partners who are not employees of The Meal Nest.
  • We coordinate closely with our delivery partners and stand behind the timely dispatch of your order, but we are not legally liable for the conduct of independent delivery partners once your order has left our kitchen. A late, wrong or missing meal is still credited as described under "When we get it wrong" below, whoever caused it.
  • Please report any concern about a delivery partner's conduct to us on WhatsApp or by phone. We take these seriously and follow up directly with the partner concerned.
  • Delivery partners may leave meals at the reception, security gate, or a common area if access to the building premises is restricted.
  • You can view your exact booking dates under the "Booking History" tab on our order platform.

Delivery timings

We target delivery within the following windows, based on normal operating conditions. These are target windows and not guaranteed delivery times. Actual times may vary due to traffic, weather, order volume or other factors outside our control.

  • Breakfast: 6:30–8:00 AM
  • Lunch: 12:30–1:30 PM
  • Dinner: 6:30–8:30 PM
  • In the case of natural disasters, heavy rain, riots, civil disruption, government action or other situations beyond our control, The Meal Nest may cancel or postpone any meal or service. We will tell you as early as we can.
  • When we cancel or postpone a meal or service in this way, your delivery date moves forward: your plan ends later by the same number of delivery days. Food that was already prepared is donated to underprivileged children rather than wasted.
  • Some heat loss during transit is normal, and we recommend a brief reheat for the best taste.

When we get it wrong

  • If a meal is late, wrong or missing, message us within 2 hours of the end of your delivery window. We credit that meal to your Meal Nest wallet and tell you what we are doing about it. This includes a meal you did not receive.
  • If you think a meal made you unwell, tell us straight away on WhatsApp or by phone. We take food-safety complaints seriously and will follow up directly.
  • Little Nest school tiffins: if your child wakes up unwell, message us by 9:00 AM the same morning and that day is credited 100% to your wallet. This is a goodwill credit; by 9 AM the kitchen has usually started on the day's tiffins.

Pausing, Renewing and Cancelling

  • Care Nest. Care Nest plans can be paused with at least 4 hours’ notice before your next delivery, instead of the cut-offs below.
  • Cut-offs. You can skip, swap or pause a meal until its cut-off: breakfast 10 PM the night before, lunch 7 AM the same day, dinner 1 PM the same day. A pause covers whole days, so it can start on the first day on which none of your meals has closed.
  • Pausing. Skipped or paused days are not charged and your plan ends later by the same number of delivery days. Skipping all of a day's meals works the same way, and so does skipping a single meal: skipped meals are not charged and your plan ends later by the same number of delivery days.
  • Renewing. We remind you before your plan ends, and you choose when to renew.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel a plan at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp. It applies from the next meal whose cut-off has not passed.

Refund / Cancellation Policy

  • A meal cannot be cancelled after its cut-off (see above); it has already been prepared for you.
  • Refunds are issued as credit to your Meal Nest wallet, which can be used towards any future plan. They are not paid back to the card, UPI or bank account used for payment, except as set out below.
  • 5-day plan: the value of days not yet delivered is credited to your wallet at the price paid.
  • 20, 40 and 60-day plans: if you cancel before your start date, the full amount is credited to your wallet. If you cancel after your start date, the value of undelivered days is credited to your wallet, after adjusting for the days already delivered. Delivered days are charged at the daily rate of the longest plan length you have completed (for example, the 20-day rate once 20 days have been delivered), and at the 5-day rate until then. Skipped and paused days are not counted as delivered.
  • If we are unable to deliver to your address, any amount you have paid for the plan is refunded to the original payment method.
  • If we cancel or postpone a meal or service because of weather, civil disruption, government action or other circumstances beyond our control, we do not issue a credit for it. Instead your delivery date moves forward by the same number of delivery days.
  • Closing your account: message us on WhatsApp and we will settle any wallet balance and running plan with you before the account is closed. Refunds stay as wallet credit, as set out above.
