Common questions

Questions about cholesterol meal plans

Do I have to give up ghee?

Not necessarily. Ghee is portioned according to your dietitian's brief and your doctor's advice. Whether you should cut it back depends on your numbers.

Will this lower my cholesterol?

We cannot promise numbers. Diet is one part of it, alongside medicine, activity and family history. Your doctor decides when to repeat your tests.

Can I follow this while taking a statin?

Yes. Tell us what you take so we can plan around it. Never stop or change a statin because of a meal plan. That is for your treating doctor to decide.
